Hi! I’m Elizabeth van der Bij and I’m the photographer behind ENV Photography. I’m an Edmonton-based wedding photographer and I love to travel the world for weddings, engagements & proposals. I especially love weddings in the Canadian Rocky Mountains in beautiful places like Banff, Canmore, Emerald Lake, Jasper, Kananaskis, Lake Louise & Nordegg! I tend to split my time between Edmonton & the mountains when I’m photographing! My wedding photography style is happy, candid, romantic & relaxed with focus on beautiful, flattering posing & genuine expressions. I also love to showcase the environment around you as well! Your wedding day should be fun, so expect an onslaught of jokes & witticisms to get you laughing and to keep your spirits up throughout your wedding day! I’m not always funny, but I try my best! 😉 When you look back on your ENV wedding photos, you’ll see lots of pretty portraits, unexpected candid photos of yourselves, your family & your guests & lots of beautiful moments captured from your awesome day!! I love to travel for weddings whenever I can and I get super excited when I can explore new destinations! I’d love to be your wedding photographer!

ENV Photography also photographs couples, engagements (couple’s photography, but with a pretty ring!), proposalsmaternity (I know, it’s couples’ photography, but with a bump!), families, kids & boudoir/glamour sessions as well. As with weddings, complimentary bad jokes are always included to ensure real smiles! Portraits are usually smiley & aren’t always camera-aware, meaning there isn’t a lot of “look-directly-at-the-camera-and-smile” for every photo, it’s more capturing you interacting with your environment & the people around & forgetting that you are being photographed. Of course we’ll try to get some looking at the camera (Grandma wants those, I know!), but that won’t be what the majority of your photos will be from your ENV Photography portrait session.
