Calgary Engagement Photographer | Urban Winter session
I met up with Lisa and Jason earlier in the month in Calgary for their engagement session. I hadn’t met them in person, so we met up at the Purple Perk to chat about their wedding and to get to know each other a bit before we went out to do their wintery couples photos. We started photos at Purple Perk since they like to hang out there and it’s a pretty looking spot, although being watched through the windows by the patrons of the coffee shop was a little nerve wracking! 😉 After a quick snuggle and a stroll, we headed off to the ice rink at City Hall for more photos and to watch Jason showoff on his skates (he’s gooooood!). In Edmonton I usually shoot in parks and wooded areas, but in Calgary, I really enjoy shooting in the city and more urban spots! Lisa and Jason skated and laughed and snuggled on the nice for a while until they froze, so we wandered over to take a few photos with their cute pup and to hit the streets on Stephen Ave. It was just before Valentine’s Day and I was drawn to the bright colours outside of Twigs, so of course we had to stop there for photos! Since it’s winter, you can only last so long out in the cold before you turn purple, so we wrapped it up on Stephen Ave. It was a fantastic time and I had so much fun being a Calgary Engagement photographer for the day! I can’t wait to come back to photograph Lisa and Jason’s wedding in Calgary later this year! Here’s some of my favourite photos from they day filled with laughs and love!
