Canmore Wedding Photographers | Bill Warren Training Centre & St. Michael’s Church
You never know what you’re going to get for weather in the mountains, but you are guaranteed stunning photos no matter what Mother Nature throws at you. It easily the windiest day I’ve ever experienced in Canmore for Ashleigh & Brian’s wedding, but that didn’t stop us from having a fabulous time! From getting ready at the magical suite at the Grande Rockies resort, to the toasty warm ceremony at St Michael’s Anglican church, to the bitterly cold & windy portraits on the way to Spray Lakes and finishing with the beautiful reception at the Bill Warren Train Centre, it was an amazing day with a group of fantastic people! A big thanks to Carlin Anquist for second shooting with me while Chelsey ditched me for San Diego (just joking Chelsey… I know you didn’t go to Comic-Con just to get away from me!). We love being Canmore wedding photographers!

What were you most looking forward to on your wedding day?
Is as most looking forward to finally being able to call Brian my husband. It had been a long time coming (almost 5 years) and this day couldn’t come fast enough, although it was over so quickly. We had the time of our lives. I was looking forward to solidifying our lifelong love we have, and will have for each other for he rest of our lives.
What ended up being your favourite moment(s) of the day (both answer)?
Ash: when the church doors opened, seeing Brian’s face when he could barely hold it together was something I will never forget. The look he had in his eyes was indescribable, but lucky enough, was able to be captured in our photos!
The beautiful locations we went to for photos in Canmore and Banff. Although it was the windiest day in history (or felt like it), we were still able to have tons of fun with Beth and our wedding party. Thank goodness our bus driver was so accommodating to the wedding party literally rocking the bus, and using the bus as shelter from the wind to stand beside for photos.
Dancing the night away with friends and family will definitely be a memory I hold on to. When the bride and groom are up dancing, that’s when the party really starts 🙂
Brian: being able to finally kiss Ashleigh as my wife !!
What was the song you chose for the processional? We had the mother of bride, mother of groom, ring bearer and flowergirl walk to Marry Me, by Train. And the bridesmaids and bride walked to “til Kingdom Come” by the Autumn Film -this was a cover as Coldplay sings the original version.
What was the song you chose for your first dance? We had one of Brian’s childhood friends play acoustic guitar and sing our first dance song. He sang “Only you can love me this way” by Keith Urban.
How did you choose your colour scheme/theme for the wedding? After looking through many Pinterest boards, I finally found a nice color scheme that reflected the soft yet classy vision I always wanted for our big day. The soft peachy colors combined with the gold brought all the aspects we wanted on our wedding day.
Where are you going for your honeymoon? Nice France, Venice & Florence & cinque terre & rome & naples Italy, Santorini Greece 🙂
