Chicago Family Portrait Photographers
I just love Chicago! Derek and I try to go as often as we can and this past year we managed to go twice. It’s such a beautiful city with such amazing architecture with a fabulous mix of greenspace. I’m constantly wandering around in awe and I’m always think about where I would photograph people if I had weddings there (please oh please bring me to Chicago for a wedding, someone!!). On this last trip, I had the pleasure of photographing Gina, Tony & and their gorgeous little Zoe. The previous time we were in Chicago, Gina & Tony photographed Derek & I at Salvage One (now, that’s another amazing space I’d like to have a wedding in) so I was super happy that they were willing to let me photograph them! We met up in this cool little park beside the Art Institute of Chicago for a family portrait session. It was a super cool area, but, being that it was a Saturday, it was packed with people doing wedding portraits (and it seems Chicago loves huge wedding parties… the smallest one we saw had 7 bridesmaids and 7 groomsmen… crazy!). It was fun to watch this cool little family hang out together enjoying the view and the fabulous weather. These are some of my favourite photos from this Chicago family portrait session. I can’t wait to go back and continue our new portrait tradition! If you’re headed to Chicago and would like to be photographed, you know who to take with you (hint hint it’s me!).
I love any excuse I can get to go back to Chicago, so if you are looking for a Chicago Wedding Photographer or a Chicago Family Portrait Photographer, take me with you!!
