Earlier in the fall, Joy, Tricia & Tate came into the studio for a family lifestyle portrait session. Their session was way less posey and a lot more in the lifestyle vein as they hung out, played with blocks, read books and lounged around, just hanging out together as a family. I really enjoyed this session because you really got to see them as they interact as a family, even though it wasn’t in their home, you can tell they felt “at home” even if we were just in the studio. I think these types of photos are just as treasured as the ones where you look at the camera and smile, so it’s great to be able to do two different styles of photos. I just loved Tate in his little dinosaur costume… too bad it didn’t last for long though! Lots of energy at his age.. haha Luckily he finally slowed down near the end so I could get a few more portrait-type photos of him and even managed to convince him to look at my camera for a few!
