Intimate Backyard Wedding | Edmonton
It’s not often that brides and groom get ready together on the wedding day, so I was pretty happy that I could photograph Roxane & Pejman at the same time as they were getting ready for their intimate backyard wedding hosted at Pejman’s parents’ beautiful home in Edmonton. I rarely get to photograph groom details and Pejman had the most awesome pair of robot cufflinks that I kind of obsessed over. I was also super excited to know that the coupl had brought their family of cats up for the weekend as well so I tried to have one of the kitties cooperate for a shoe shot. Of course, cats never want to fully cooperate when you want them to do something, but I was more than content to just have some cute kitty fluffiness in a few photos. 🙂 After they got ready, we went outside for family photos and then wandered into the park down the block to do some formal couple’s photos before the ceremony. Roxane & Pejman are just so cute together and there were a ton of laughs! We wrapped up the photos and went back to get ready for their intimate backyard wedding ceremony with close family and friends. It was a lovely ceremony on the steps of the deck with everyone looking on from below. The ceremony wrapped up with champagne & strawberries and we whisked the newlyweds downtown for a few urban portraits on the Edmonton streets just steps from their wine cellar reception at Sofra.
As always, thanks to Chelsey for being my awesome second shooter!!
