Lake Louise Wedding Photography | Chateau Lake Louise & Moraine Lake
When we think destination wedding, those of us in Alberta think about warm, tropical locations like Mexico, Domincan Repbulic or Aruba. We seem to forget that Lake Louise, Banff and the Rocky Mountains are a big hotspot for destination weddings for people that aren’t lucky enough to have such a beautiful location with a few hours of driving. Tad & Hiroko travelled all the way from Japan for their Lake Louise destination wedding and celebrated the day with close family who lived nearby in Calgary. I met with Tad first on the big day to get a few getting ready photos with him while Hiroko finished up hair and make-up in the hotel. After we took a few photos, Hiroko came back to the room and Tad went to wander pre-ceremony while Hiroko got ready with the help of her daughter and Maho, her wedding planner. Once ready, we headed off to the upper meadow for the wedding ceremony overlooking Lake Louise in all it’s glory. Following the ceremony, we wandered the grounds around the Fairmont Chateau lake Louise for portraits, dodging thousands of tourists to make it look like we were the only ones there before trekking to Moraine Lake for a few more portraits of the newlyweds. Since I live in Edmonton, I love getting away to enjoy some Lake Louise wedding photography whenever I get the chance. There truly is no more beautiful place in Canada than Lake Louise for a wedding! Here are some of my favourite photos from Tad & Hiroko’s Lake Louise wedding!
