Seattle Family Photography
Earlier in May I traveled to Seattle (which is quickly becoming one of my favourite places to visit!) and I while I was there I had the pleasure of meeting Kristin, Jason & and their adorable family for a Seattle family photography session at the University of Washington campus where Kristin & Jason first met. We met on a Sunday afternoon which also happened to be Mother’s Day (and photos are the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon, just so you know!). These are some of my favourite photos from the Boyett family’s Seattle family photography session! I’m kind of in love with the resident ducks too! Thank you Kristin, Jason, Jonah & Greta for spending the afternoon with me!!
With family sessions, I love to steal the couple that started it all to get a few photos of just them at the end of the session when I can!
Here’s a little more about this awesome family!
What are your names (each family member)? Jason, Kristin, Jonah (2.5 years), and Greta (8 months)
What do you like to do together as a family? What are your hobbies? We like to go on walks, play and watch soccer (Sounders season ticket holders!), and play music and games
What is your favourite thing to do on a Sunday afternoon? Go to church together as a family, and all take a nap together! :), then family dinner
If you could go on a vacation anywhere this year, where would you go? We’d love to take a week-long camping trip together but Greta doesn’t yet sleep through the night…so that would be more exhausting than enjoyable at the moment. Maybe we’ll try for next year! Hawaii sounds nice right about now…..
What do you want to be when you grow up (answer for everyone, even “grown-ups”)? Jason: civil engineer (his career now, so imaginative :P) Jonah: direct quote — “I want to hammer, hammer, hammer” Kristin: Professional photographer! Or owner of my photography business with my kids taking over 🙂 (Lucky to have my dream job) Greta: we hope she will soon turn into a professional sleeper, haha (or singer, with the pipes she has on her! 😉
Tell me your favourite books to read! Jason likes Russian literature lately (Dostoevsky in particular) and theological non-fiction; Kristin likes historical fiction and the very occasional best-seller; Jonah LOVES to read, and likes books that rhyme or anything about Thomas the Train and his friends. Greta likes to listen to whatever we read her or whatever Jonah has 🙂 The Bible is a family favorite of course!
What are your favourite treats (candy, ice cream, tequila, etc.)? Jason and Kristin enjoy good craft beers, and smoothies are Jonah’s favorite thing.
What do you think is unique about your family? Aside from the red hair (poor Jason is suddenly the minority), hah! We seem pretty “normal” otherwise 🙂 We are blessed, and love each other a lot.
