St. John’s Family Photography | Train Station
This past October I travelled to Newfoundland for the first time in nearly 15 years to visit my family (My parents still live in Newfoundland and I lived there a few times during my childhood) and photograph Krista & Brad’s wedding in CBS. While I was in town I also reconnected for a few former classmates and did photos with them and their families (See Gwen’s family photo session on the Manuel’s River as well!). I was super excited to see Colleen and to photograph her fabulous family in St. John’s at the old train station. I think it had been over 20 years since I had seen her last! Her little guy loves trains so the old train station was a great spot for the shoot and in an area I’d love to explore more for photos the next time I visit St. John’s. I like it when the location ties in to the families interests to make things more personal. We had an uncommonly sunny day (in fact, most of the time I was in Newfoundland it was sunny, not grey and rainy like I remembered… we lucked out!). I love these photos of Colleen and her family and I hope yo do too! Here are a few of my favourites from this St. John’s Family Photography session! I don’t plan to take another 15 years to visit Newfoundland, so stay tuned for details on my next visit and book your own family photo session!
