Edmonton Petroleum Club Wedding Winter Photography
Connie & Ed had an Edmonton Petroleum Club Wedding in 2014 (I know, I’m so slow to share this awesome wedding on my blog!). The Edmonton Petroleum Club has since closed (I photographed the last wedding there, will share that one a bit later!) and I’m sad. It was such a lovely venue located in the Middle of Edmonton. I met up with Connie that morning as she was finishing hair & make up at the Sutton Place Hotel and Susan join Ed where he was getting ready. The wedding ceremony was at St Joachim’s also near downtown Edmonton. It’s a lovely Catholic Church! Following the ceremony Connie & Ed had a dove release on the front steps of St. Joachim’s. We were worried that it would be too cold but luck was on our side. The dove release was a great way to end their ceremony! Following the ceremony, we stayed close to downtown for photos and headed to Mercer’s Tavern for a few drinks and some portraits. After we went to the river valley where the girls brought out their snowboards and skis for a few photos! We stayed in the river valley for a while until everyone was a bit chilled and then did some more couples photos at the Structube furniture store on Jasper Ave to wrap up the portrait part of the day. After that, we were whisked off to the Edmonton Petroleum Club for the reception. The room was decorated beautifully with lots of champagne decor. We were treated to a traditional Lion Dance to get the reception kicked off! One of the highlights of the reception was Ed’s dance heading into retrieving the garter. Was such a fun day! Here’s the story of Connie & Ed’s Edmonton Petroleum Club wedding!
Thanks to Susan from for Second Shooting!
